On Being Broke
I hit an all-time financial low this morning, thanks to the failure of my bank to deliver my atm card on time.  I don’t know why I have all these instincts that things will, somehow, go wrong yet I never follow them.  I’m intuitive and at the same time stubborn like that.  ‘Cause last night I already thought of this possibility.  ‘Cause this morning I already thought of texting the branch manager to ask if said card is already there, but didn’t.  ‘Cause on the way to the bank I was double-taking myself, deciding if I should go to school instead and drop by the bank at a later time.

I’m such a stubborn little child.  I never learn.  But thanks to my wise maneuverings, I was able to come up with some cash to get me through the day.  Thank God for sending such generous people my way.  They will be rewarded eventually.  =)

On Being Broken-Hearted
I hate seeing Light Blue Honda City cars nowadays.  Not that they remind me of you, but because I’m afraid of what I might see in the dashboard.  Will Mario still be there?  Or have you taken him out of your car already?  I hate to know the answer because whatever it is, I know it’s gonna hurt.

I hate you for having the monopoly of my thoughts.  It’s like when I’m not busy with something and have the luxury to ponder my life, you’re the first one that comes to mind.  And I know that pushing you back there, to what they call the subconscious, is futile, because one way or another you’d still be able to manifest yourself.  You’re Michelle Branch’s Everywhere, Ne-Yo’s Love Song, Lisa Loeb’s Stay.

I long for and dread the day that I’d be over you.  Yet there’s no comfort in knowing that it won’t be anytime soon.
