For the second time in a row, the UP Pep Squad conquered the Big Dome with loud cheers, roaring stunts and breathtaking moves to come out as the 2008 UAAP Cheerdance Competition Champions!

Okay, major gloating happenin’ in here.  I’m sure everybody’s trash talking again, but I just have to say this: I can’t believe we’re champions again!!!  Haha.  I honestly thought FEU would grab the crown from us.  Their routine was very well-executed, no mess whatsoever!  And it was so appealing to the eyes, especially if you watch it on TV.  I just watched on TV (regardless if our tv furniture isn’t that nice, so I sat on the floor instead) because it was very hard to get tickets.

UST’s routine is getting very… well, routinely.  Haha.  I don’t know how to say it, but their performance was very messy.

The UP Pep Squad’s routine is, as always, a stunner.  However, when people fell from pyramids several times (Yes, the sad part is it happened more than once!), I honestly lost faith that we will still make it.  I mean, last year, the girl who fell from the UST routine made all the difference.  I thought we lost quite a lot of points with those boo-boos.

Fortunately we had great minds who thought of a very interesting theme to perform this year: tribal!  Haha.  Only UP can do that!  I suddenly remembered high school folk dances during Linggo ng Wika with one song they used.  Plus the Oblation thingy in the end was so funny!  Hahahaha.  It’s like he’s wearing a diaper or something.

In any case, I’m glad UP Pep Squad defended their crown!  MP3 players woot!  And congrats to FF for winning the Cheerdance Samsung Stunner award!  Haha.  That was a new one from the sponsors.

Here’s the final tally:

UP— 93.30

What gave FEU away was that major pyramid fall at the end of the performance. Tsk tsk.

I was thinking of an Adamson win. 😀

Congrats! After I saw UP’s performance, alam ko na kung sino panalo. Haha!

So true. First time kong di manood ng CDC ng live this year. Kahit nga pep rally namin di ko pinuntahan. Na-disappoint talaga ako sa kanila nung opening ceremonies pa lang ng season 70. Pati yung mga halftime performances nila, errr. So amateur-ish. I didn’t even expect them to grab one of the top three spots. Akala ko nga Adamson ang 2nd.
Kilala ko nga pala yung girl na nahulog sa UST last year. Haha! And I saw her again on TV yesterday. =P

Maganda ba talaga yung sa FEU?! Rawr! Di ko kasi napanood ng maayos kasi may tumawag sa cellphone ko. Hihi. *kilig*

I super love the Pep Squad since Season whatever (season when Ateneo won over LaSalle? Haha :P). It’s the most creative squad ever. I hope to see their dance some time, live in Araneta. 🙂

Thanks for your helpful article. Other thing is that mesothelioma cancer is generally the result of the inhalation of material from mesothelioma, which is a carcinogenic material. It is commonly noticed among personnel in the building industry that have long exposure to asbestos. It can also be caused by living in asbestos covered buildings for years of time, Family genes plays an important role, and some folks are more vulnerable on the risk compared to others. Also I believe that mesothelioma is a scarce form of cancers that is generally found in those people previously exposed to asbestos. Cancerous tissues form within the mesothelium, which is a protective lining which covers a lot of the body’s internal organs. These cells typically form inside lining in the lungs, belly, or the sac that really encircles the heart. Thanks for revealing your ideas. Thanks a lot for the helpful write-up. It is also my opinion that mesothelioma cancer has an extremely long latency period of time, which means that signs of the disease might not exactly emerge till 30 to 50 years after the primary exposure to mesothelioma. Pleural mesothelioma, which can be the most common sort and affects the area within the lungs, could potentially cause shortness of breath, torso pains, along with a persistent coughing, which may produce coughing up blood vessels. Thanks for your handy post. Through the years, I have been able to understand that the particular symptoms of mesothelioma cancer are caused by your build up connected fluid relating to the lining on the lung and the chest cavity. The condition may start in the chest region and propagate to other parts of the body. Other symptoms of pleural mesothelioma include weight reduction, severe respiration trouble, throwing up, difficulty ingesting, and puffiness of the neck and face areas. It really should be noted that some people living with the disease don’t experience every serious indications at all.It is my belief mesothelioma is definitely the most lethal cancer. It’s got unusual properties. The more I really look at it the more I am assured it does not behave like a real solid tissue cancer. In the event that mesothelioma is often a rogue viral infection, then there is the possibility of developing a vaccine along with offering vaccination to asbestos subjected people who are vulnerable to high risk involving developing upcoming asbestos related malignancies. Thanks for sharing your ideas for this important ailment.
