So yeah, I realize I’ve been posting on 4-day intervals when I told myself I should be posting everyday. So I guess this is a customary post to break all the monotony that’s been sweeping my blog of late. LOL.
I’m listening to some Dashboard Confessional songs right now (and get this: I’m listening via Youtube). EMO, I know. But I’m not EMO. At least not right now. Haha. I don’t know why I’m like this. I’ve mentioned quite a number of times before that I’m a post-post person; I take on a penchant for something long after its popularity had waned. And I call myself a fan of pop culture. Yeah, something’s definitely wrong with that.
In any case, congratulations to Ateneo Blue Eagles for beating the De La Salle Green Archers just a while ago! 1 point, wow. You really gotta give it to Ateneo and La Salle (or is it VLSALLE? LOL) because they really put up a pretty good fight whenever they face off with each other. Not everything’s done for, though, because La Salle, unfortunately, has twice-to-beat advantage so they would have to face off again soon. Oh whoever it is who earns from this UAAP games must be really, really happy by now.
I wasn’t able to watch the game because I hung out with good friend Elsie at McDo instead, where we anticipated the results via my Twitter Courtside Reporter Sexymom who provided us with up-to-the-minute updates on the goings-on of the game. Thanks Tita Dine!
In other news, the third round of the ZTE Broadband Controversy hearing turned out quite well yesterday, what with Sec. Neri and his “Sir, may 200 ka dito” bombshell gracing the Senate inquiry. Looking into the way the two gentlemen in the hot seat answer the questions thrown to them by information-hungry Senators, you can see how Sec. Neri is very confident with his responses. No stutters, no second-thoughts, very coherent and very consistent. Unlike Chairman Abalos who appeared very apprehensive, defensive and quite, ummm, aloof that day. He always says, “I can’t remember, your honor,” which tend to put him in a much deeper shitpile than he’s already in.
Don’t you just love MassComm? I know I do. =)
Anyway, I’m not gonna rant about Abalos and ZTE and JDV Jr., because Sen. Defensor-Santiago already had a lot to say about it. I’m just amused at how “MassComm” our College is, because they put up four small TV sets in the four lobbies of MassComm so that students can watch the hearing live. We’re a bunch of information-hungry people, we know.
In any case, I’m prepping up for Hell Week aka the week when all profs conspire to bombard their students with deadlines, exams and other academic whatnots. I’m taking up 21 units this sem and unfortunately, I have requirements to fulfill for all the 7 subjects I’m taking (Thank God CWTS just ended). Hell Week’s next week, am I ready? OFCOURSENOT! Haha.
Before I end, I promised someone I’d do this, so here it is:
To one of the colorful people of MassComm (me included), Happy 21st Birthday Jeff!
#1 Let’s bring back the cheesy and yes, sometimes corny Pinoy Radio Drama of the 70s, 80s and the 90s! Here’s an attempt by some of the more prominent Pinoy Bloggers out there. Can you match the voice with the blog? Clue: I’m nowhere near the static at all. =P
#2 For some intergalactic and extraterrestrial reason, my AdSense account, which has by far earned me a dollar and 26 cents, has been canceled. I don’t know why. So I guess I’m not for ProBlogging after all. Hehe. Oh well, tough luck.
#3 Facebook is sooooo overrated. That’s all.
